1. Items Accepted for Consignment
Items must be clean, gently used, and in excellent, sellable condition. Items must be brought in on hangers and by appointment only. Juniper Belle Boutique reserves the right to decline any items that do not meet store standards for quality, style, or condition. Plan to stay for the duration of your appointment. If unable to stay, items not accepted will be donated. Accepted items may include women’s and plus-size apparel, shoes, handbags, and accessories. Spring/Summer items are accepted February 1-June 30 and Fall/Winter items are accepted August 1-December 31. Holiday items and winter coats will only be accepted October 1-31. We will not accept consignment during the months of January and July.
2. Consignment Period
The consignment period begins on the date the items are checked in and lasts for 75 days. After 75 days, any unsold items become the property of Juniper Belle Boutique and may be discounted, donated, or resold at the store’s discretion. After 75 days, title and ownership of all remaining unsold items automatically transfer to Juniper Belle Boutique. Items are not available for pick up unless terminating the contract. No further compensation or notification will be provided after this date.
3. Pricing and Discounts
Pricing is determined by Juniper Belle Boutique based on brand, condition, and current market trends. The store may offer discounts or promotions at its discretion to encourage sales. Items will be full price for days 1-30, 25% off for days 31-45, 50% off for days 46-60 and 75% off Final Sale for days 61-75.
4. Commission Split
When an item sells, proceeds will be split as follows:
• Juniper Belle Boutique (Store): 55%
• Consignor: 45%
The split is based on the final selling price, after any applicable discounts or promotions. Any item selling for more than $250 will be paid out at a 50/50 split.
5. Payment to Consignor
Consignor payouts are issued once per month for items sold during the previous month. Payments will process on the 10th of each month. Payments will be made by ACH for a $2.50 fee or check (must be requested by the 5th of the month) for a $1.50 fee. Checks will not be mailed and must be picked up during store hours.
6. Liability
Juniper Belle will take reasonable care of all consigned items but is not responsible for loss or damage due to theft, fire, or other unforeseen events. Items are left at the consignor’s own risk.
7. Termination
Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time before the end of the consignment period by providing written notice. If terminated early, a $10 fee will be assessed and the consignor must pick up all items within 48 hours. After 48 hours, the items become property of the store.
8. Imperfections
Damaged items may be donated with no notice. Items requiring repairs or extensive steaming to make them rack ready will have a reduced payment percentage to 35%. Repeated consignment of damaged items, or items not rack ready may result in inability to consign.
9. Property Rights
All items accepted under a consignment agreement remain the property of Juniper Belle Boutique for the full 75-day consignment period. Requests to retrieve items more than 15 days prior to the scheduled end of the consignment term will incur a $10 early pull fee. This fee offsets floor space usage, item preparation, pricing and tagging, and employee time required to remove items before the contract expiration.
Consigned items are eligible to participate in all store-wide markdowns, promotions, and tag sales unless otherwise agreed to in writing by Juniper Belle Boutique.
10. Agreement and Signature
